Don’t let the lights go out

Emergency lighting must work automatically and stay on long enough for safe evacuation.

To fully meet fire safety regulations emergency lighting has to be installed. It is designed to provide lighting for building evacuation when the conventional lighting fails.

It is vital that emergency lighting comes on if the normal lighting fails. It needs to be sufficiently bright, illuminated for enough time and the light sources so positioned, that the occupants of a building can be evacuated safely in an emergency.

Planning & Locating

Installing emergency lights in your premises isn’t just about showing people the fire exits. Lights must be located to provide sufficient illumination, according to the different areas of premises and must conform to the latest legislation.

Electrical Installation

Fitting an emergency lighting system in your premises is mandatory for most businesses. Ensuring that the correct units and signage are chosen and installed, is only half of the job. Our staff are highly trained in electrical installation and specifically trained to BS 5266-1:2011 including the design of emergency lighting, emergency lighting installation and certification of emergency lighting systems

After Installation

Maintaining the units and ensuring continued compliance, is an ongoing legal responsibility. There are certain requirements that you, as the 'responsible person' are obliged to carry out or arrange to have carried out. We can help with your Emergency Lighting Testing, providing monthly testing, quarterly testing, annual testing, maintenance log books.
